Responsible To President and Vice President
Salary $70,000 – $75,000 per year, + $20,000-$30,000 Incentive Plan
Position Purpose The General Manager’s primary role is to deploy and implement the direction of the company in a tactical and culturally facilitating manner.
Oversee, manage and advance Vision Recycling’s established systems.
The critical issues that arise are attended to by the General Manager as the first line of attendance.
Principal Accountabilities Conduct meetings and manage middle managers to ensure performance in these categories:
• Profitability
• Production
• Employee training
• Sales management
• Customer service
• Inventory control
• Contract ratification
• Promote safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance
• Maintain & execute operations within company mission statement
Essential Duties
• Supervise, direct & support middle management
• Communicate and maintain relationships with key clients
• Monitor sales and marketing
• Ensure compliance for all regulatory requirements, registrations, permits and records
• Full company budgeting
• Develop annual budget and perform monthly recasting
• Review for accuracy and approve monthly financial statements
• Monitor all company expenses
• Contract negotiation and approval
• Involvement in the acquisition of equipment
• Involvement in personnel and HR processes, such as hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, etc.
• Act as key company representative (i.e. property leases, contracts, etc.)
• Manage compliance with all regulations, including those imposed by LEA, BAAQMD, MBUAPCD, OSHA, County Agriculture and City
• Provide proper resources for efficient production in all areas of the business
• Administrative responsibilities

• Handle elevated customer service issues and incidents
• Drive the goals as established by corporate leadership

• College Graduate or equivalency
• 5+ Years Business Management Experience
• Strong perceptive and observational skills

Recommended Criteria
• MBA in Management
• Basic Spanish skills

• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation & maintenance
• Experience managing organic materials
• Knowledge of recycling and waste industry
Work Environment High pressure, deadline & detail oriented.
Hours of Duty Approximately 45 – 55 hours per week, weekends as needed.
On-call/emergency response necessary.
